Time for Some Fun and Appreciation. Father’s Day is right around the corner, so it’s time to start thinking about how to make this day extra special for the amazing dads in our lives. Whether you’re celebrating Father’s Day with your own dad, your grandpa, or a father figure who’s been there for you, there are so many ways to show your appreciation. Our Father’s Day Gift Guide is a great place to start. It’s important to recognize the Herculean effort it takes to raise kids. Dads work tirelessly to provide for their families, offering support, guidance, and unconditional love every step of the way. They teach us important life lessons, pick us up when we fall, and cheer us on as we chase our dreams. So this Father’s Day, let’s make sure to thank our dads for all that they do. First things first, let’s talk about spending quality time with dad. One of the best gifts you can give is the gift of your time, so why not plan a fun day out together? You could go for a hike, play a round of golf, or catch a ball game—whatever your dad enjoys doing. Or if he’s more of a homebody, you could cook a delicious meal together, watch his favorite movie, or even just sit and chat over a cup of coffee. If you’re looking for gift ideas, there are plenty of options that are sure to put a smile on dad’s face. Whether it’s with a big gesture or a simple “thank you,” let’s show our dads just how much they mean to us. Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there—you truly are superheroes in disguise! We’ve compiled a list of gift ideas that cover a range of interests and budgets. We’ve made this easy for you and provided a link to our Father’s Day Gift Guide and shared more details below: Skin Care: Every dad needs to protect and take care of his skin. This is our favorite gift for all dads. Sunscreen and moisturizer make sure that dads can participate in all their favorite outdoor activities without harming their skin. Customized Grilling Set: If your dad loves to grill, consider getting him a personalized grilling set with his name, his alma mater or a special message engraved on it. Add in some high-quality BBQ sauces and rubs for an extra touch. Skiing: Maybe it’s some new gear, a lift ticket or a season pass. If your dad is a serious skier, staying dry and warm is a must to enjoy your day on the slopes. We love these heated socks and Hestra 3-finger gloves. Golfing: All golfers can use a new shirt or a quarter zip to layer their attire for unexpected weather. Get him a new Stitch golf shirt, quarter zip, or a hat for those sunny summer days on the course. Want to go a little bigger, consider upgrading his golf bag or adding specialized clubs to his set. Fishing: Perhaps it’s a new fishing vest that will keep him comfortable and organized on the water, a sun hat and polarized sunglasses to protect his head and eyes or the splurge of a new fly rod; if your dad is a serious angler, he will appreciate any of these gifts. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Keep him hydrated when he’s outside having fun this summer. We recommend the Liquid IV packets that can easily be added to a water bottle. Pickleball or Tennis: If your dad is interested in pickleball or tennis, you could help him keep his gear organized with a new bag, or upgade his equipment with a high-quality paddle or raquet that suits his playing style. Serious players can always use new balls. This is a budget friendly gift that will bring hours of enjoyment – just make sure to buy the appropriate balls for his style of play – indoor or outdoor for pickleball or the various surfaces in tennis. Hiking: No matter where you live, there is no shortage of great hiking trails in this country. Maybe you pickup our JUST GO! Tshirt and layer it with our favorite Limited-edition 1989 heritage anorak from J.Crew. Snacks: You can never go wrong with a delicious snack. We love our easy Cheese-It Crack Cracker recipe. A jar of these will make anyone happy. We also love to stock their bags with granola bars or snack sized bags of nuts for a quick snack. Our splurge snack choice is Feridies 5 o’Clock Crunch, buy the double pack, you’ll thank us later. Experience Gift: If none of these ideas meet your needs, consider gifting a physical gift. You could treat your dad to an experience he’ll never forget? This could be anything from tickets to a sporting event or concert to a hot air balloon ride or a cooking class. No matter what you choose, the most important thing when celebrating Father’s Day is to show your dad how much you appreciate him on his special day! These gifts not only cater to his hobbies, keep him protected, fed and hydrated but also encourage self-care and remind him of the importance of looking after his body while enjoying his favorite activities.

Embrace the Green…
Backyard Gardens, Blooming Hydrangeas, and Beautiful Planters Hello garden enthusiasts and nature lovers – get ready to embrace the green! If you’re like us, you look forward to this time of year so you can get out in your yard and start planting. Is there anything more satisfying than stepping out into your yard and seeing the fruits (or veggies) of your labor? This year, like every May, we’ve been working in our yard to plant our vegetable garden, design beautiful planters and prepare the flower beds around our house. Here are some of our favorite tips for a beautiful yard all summer long. The Joy of a Backyard Vegetable Garden Growing your own food is such a rewarding project. It really isn’t hard; start small and embrace the green. There’s something magical about watching tiny seeds grow into delicious produce that you and your family can enjoy all summer and into the fall. We’ve planted tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, eggplant, garlic, onions, cauliflower, an array of salad greens and herbs, all neatly organized in rows. One trick we’ve found super helpful is planting marigolds around my vegetable plants. These bright, cheerful flowers aren’t just pretty faces—they’re natural insect repellants! The marigolds we started from seed have grown beautifully and are doing a fantastic job keeping pests at bay. Plus, their vibrant colors add a nice pop to the garden. We also use the first row of our backyard garden to plant a flower cutting garden. We focus on easy-to-grow flowers like zinnias and dahlias. Hydrangeas in Full Bloom Another type of plant that we love in our yard is hydrangeas. We source our plants locally at smaller garden centers, but a bigger chain nursery to try is Pikes. If you’ve ever had hydrangeas in your yard, you know how they can steal the show when they bloom. Over the next few weeks, several varieties will be in full bloom. These clusters of white, pink, blue, and purple create a stunning visual effect. These beauties love a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade. A little pruning after their blooming season keeps them healthy and lush for the next year. Hydrangeas are a fantastic choice if you want to add a splash of color and elegance to your yard. They also make wonderful bouquets for your home. Make sure to pick your blooms in the cooler morning hours of the day. Planters are the Perfect Porch Accessory To tie everything together, we’ve been having a blast creating beautiful planters. There’s something about a well-placed planter that can transform any porch or seating area into a cozy, inviting space. We’ve mixed various plants—like variegated ivy, ferns, hostas, impatiens and herbs to create pretty arrangements. The key is to choose a mix of heights, colors, and textures. And don’t forget to fertilize and water them regularly, especially during those hot summer days. Gardening isn’t just about the end result; it’s about the journey and the joy it brings. Whether you’re harvesting fresh veggies, admiring blooming hydrangeas, or enjoying your morning coffee next to a beautifully arranged planter, there’s a simple happiness in connecting with nature. So grab your gloves, get your hands dirty, and create your own outdoor paradise!
