A Fun and Festive Tradition
The Fourth of July is all about celebrating, community, and appreciating the freedoms this country affords us. It’s the day we celebrate the USA’s birthday and think about what makes each of our communities so special. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “True patriotism springs from a belief in the dignity of the individual, freedom and equality not only for Americans but for all people on Earth.” This quote is a great reminder that being patriotic means believing in freedom and equality for everyone.
Every year, we dive into all the fun activities that make this holiday memorable. In years past, we have participated in local parades, where everyone came together to show their patriotic spirit. We have hosted backyard barbecues, gone to a Charlotte Knights baseball game or spent the long weekend at the beach. However you choose to spend the holiday, hanging out with friends and family is a must. If your hosting an event, be prepared with our hosting essentials guide. And, of course, we can’t miss the fireworks! Watching the sky light up and oohing and ahhing at the display is a magical way to end the day.
These all-American activities remind us how lucky we are to live in a country that provides us with so much freedom. Celebrating the Fourth of July is more than just a day off; it’s a chance to be grateful for all the opportunities we have. It’s a time to hang out with friends and family, celebrate our country’s heritage, and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy.
So, this Independence Day, let’s take a moment to think about what freedom really means. Let’s celebrate how far we’ve come and keep working towards freedom and equality for everyone. Get your loved ones together, enjoy the fun, and soak in the unique spirit of America.
Happy Fourth of July!
