Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
Stir in chocolate chips (and nuts, fruit, or candy if using).
Use a cookie scoop to portion dough into balls.
Freeze dough balls on a silicone baking mat or parchment-lined sheet until solid, then transfer to a zip-top freezer bag.
To bake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake frozen dough balls on a lined sheet for 11–13 minutes. No need to thaw. Just pop them in and enjoy!
